ALIPERING

 

Taking Measurements 

Step 1 

Attach the Arm Support to your 
forearm. Hold the device so that the 
Caliper Head is parallel to the ground. 

 

 

Step 2 

Slide the Caliper Head around the trunk at a constant speed until it touches the 
back of the Caliper Head.  

 

Step 3 

Then slide the Caliper Head in the opposite direction away from the trunk 
using the same motion. 

 

 

Note: Stakes, twigs, weeds, and other debris can cause incorrect 
readings. Measure between objects or use the larger diameter object to 
shade out the smaller object.
