To Import a MID file into a Sequence
If you have a MIDI sequence you created in your DAW or another device, you can use a
.mid file to import the sequence into blackbox. The sequence can be a Keys or MIDI
sequence. A Keys sequence will play with the pad selected in the top right selection grid
at the time of importing. A MIDI sequence will play out to the MIDI Channel configured
for the sequence.
1.
Push
SEQS
to go to the Sequences screen.
2.
Select a sequence and push
INFO
to display the sequencer
screen.
3.
Select either Keys or MIDI mode using the selector at the
top of the screen.
4.
If you chose Keys, then touch the pad selector grid at the
top right and then select the pad that will play the
sequence.
5.
Touch Edit at the top of the screen to open the menu.
6.
Touch Import and then select a .mid file to import, using
the knobs to scroll through files and folders. Touch the
caret
^
button and the Load button to navigate through the
file folders. Select the file to import and then touch Load to
import the sequence. The sequence will now include the
note events imported from the MIDI file. You may need to
use the pad selection grid to select the pad and see the
