Blackbox 3.0 User Manual

To Select a Scale on the Grid Keyboard

1.

Push the

KEYS

button until you see the Grid keyboard.

2.

Touch the left Scale Selector button to display a list of

values for the Root Note. Touch an option to select it.

Alternatively, you can turn any knob while on the grid

keyboard to change the Root Note.

3.

Touch the right Scale Selector button to display the Scale or

Mode options. Turn any knob to scroll through the values.

Touch the screen or any button when the desired value is

displayed.

To find the right key to match some music, tap a root note on the grid

while turning a knob to scan through the root notes.

To Change Which Pad is Playing on the Keys Screen
There are two ways to change which pad is playing with the keys
screen:

■ Change which pad is selected on the Pads screen.

■ Touch the Pad selector grid in the top left corner of the screen,

then touch the pad you want to use. This will also change

which pad is selected on the Pads screen.
