Blackbox 3.0 User Manual

Note:

►

Be aware that blackbox does not automatically save your work. If you

load a different preset or turn off the blackbox, you will lose any edits

you’ve made to an unsaved preset. So save often!

Preset

Management

Note:

►

When blackbox first starts up, it loads the last preset you used on the

microSD card in the slot. However, any unsaved edits from your last

session will be gone.

Explore Presets

A Preset is the master file that stores a blackbox composition. It holds the pad
assignments, sequences, song scenes, effects settings, Mix settings, and the detailed
parameters for each of these.

To Load a Preset
1. Push the

PSET

button to access the Preset Management Screen.

It displays a list of the available presets on your microSD card,
with the currently selected preset highlighted in blue. There is
also a set of three buttons: File, Save, and Load.

2. Turn any knob to scroll up and down the list. When you find the

preset you want, touch the Load button and your preset will load.
Then press any other button (

PADS

KEYS

, etc.) to begin working

with it.

To Save a Preset
Push the

PSET

button and press Save. This will save your changes to the current preset.
