User Guide

When used in accordance with these instructions the booster cushion 

allows an approved adult seat belt to be used by a person of small 

stature.

All product information, video instructions and BoostApak extras are

Product Care

To remove fabric first undo Velcro strips in front of seat belt guides 

(Fig a). Then unzip the internal zipper in the lining (Fig b) to peel fabric 

away from plastic shell, starting from the corners (Fig c).

Follow the wash care label attached for advice on cleaning the 

BoostApak fabric. Never use bleach, dye, or chemical cleaners. Only 

sponge clean the BoostApak fabric, using hand soap and warm 

water. 

Notice

This is a “Universal” child restraint. It is approved to Regulation No. 

44,04 series of amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will fit 

most, but not all, car seats.   
A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the 

vehicle handbook that the vehicle is capable of accepting a 

“Universal” child restraint for this age group. 

This child restraint has been classified as “Universal” under more 

stringent conditions than those which applied to earlier designs 

which do not carry this notice. 

If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or the 

retailer.

Installation

Follow installation instructions closely as an incorrect installation could be dangerous.

IMPORTANT - This booster seat is only suitable for use in vehicles fitted with 3 point retrac-

tor safety belts approved to ECE Regulation No. 16 or other equivalent standards.
Place the BoostApak forward facing on the vehicle seat (see installation diagram on the 

BoostApak seat). 

1.

 Lift up the front to reveal green armrests. 

2.

 Lift green armrests until 

they lock into an upright position. 

3. 

Attach the shoulder clip link strap to the D-ring, 

located at the rear of the BoostApak, on the same side as the vehicle buckle.

. Ensure clip 

is at the correct height for the user. Pull the clip directly upwards from the ‘d’ loop, the 

marker beneath the Trunki logo should be shoulder height. 

5.

 When length is set, swing the 

clip to the opposite shoulder and fix behind the user to the diagonal section of the seat belt. 

6. 

Place child on BoostApak and pass the seat belt lap portion over their lap ensuring the 

belt is over the red sticker on each side of the Boostapak. Engage the buckle and ensure 

the diagonal belt is over the red sticker on the arm rest, across the chest and over the 

shoulder. Ensure the diagonal belt engages with the 

shoulder strap clip. When using the BoostApak outside the 

vehicle the green armrests can be lowered by pressing the 

buttons on the side. 

Warnings

1.

 DO NOT use in any configuration not shown in the 

instructions. 

2.

 DO NOT use any load bearing contact 

points other than those described in the instructions and 

marked on the BoostApak. 

3.

 DO NOT use the BoostApak 

in any seating position where an airbag is present, unless 

the airbag can be switched off. 

4.

 IMPORTANT - Ensure 

that the vehicle seat belts are not twisted and that the lap 

strap is worn low down, so that the pelvis is firmly engaged. 

5.

 DO NOT make any alterations or additions to this product without approval of the manufacturer. 

Only use fabric as recommended by the manufacturer, other fabrics could reduce the performance. Check the fabric cover from time to time to ensure it is not 

damaged or torn in any way and that the zip is in good order. If any damage is detected or the zip does not function, contact the manufacturer immediately for 

a replacement fabric. Do not use the product unless the fabric is in good order. 

6.

 DO NOT use the BoostApak if it is damaged or has been subject to any violent 

stresses of an accident.  

7.

 DO NOT use an ordinary loose cushion to substitute or use with the booster seat. 

8. 

IMPORTANT - Secure luggage or objects liable 

to cause injuries in the event of an accident. 

9.

 IMPORTANT  - All rigid items and plastic parts of the child restraint 

must be located and installed so that they are not likely, during everyday use of the vehicle, to become trapped by 

a movable seat or in a door of the vehicle. 

10.

 IMPORTANT - Ensure the BoostApak is not overfilled such that the 

back becomes distorted (Fig d & e). 

11.

 IMPORTANT - Max weight of BoostApak and its contents should not 

exceed 15% of the childs weight. 

12.

 DO NOT leave a child in the child restraint system unattended. 

13.

 The 

booster must only be used in vehicle seating positions indicated and facing in the direction of travel (forward). 

Please refer to the vehicle owners manual to clarify the suitability of other seating positions which may not be 

indicated. 

14.

 The plastic parts of the BoostApak may become hot if left in direct sunlight. Please avoid contact with 

the child's skin.
