CAUTION

To ensure proper function and avoid battery leakage:

-  Do not mix old and new batteries.
-  Do not mix alkaline, standard or rechargeable 

batteries.

-  Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be 

recharged.

-  Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from

the toy before being charged.

-  Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged

under adult supervision.

-  Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as

recommended are to be used.

-  Batteries are to be inserted with the correct 

polarity, and follow the toy and battery 
manufacturer's instruction.

-  Exhausted or dead batteries are to be removed

from the toy.

-  The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
-  Remove the batteries if you won't be using the

unit for a long period of time.

FUNCTION BUTTONS

ON/OFF button
-  Press this button to turn ON the unit and to turn 

OFF the unit. Unit will switch off automatically after
3 minutes of inactivity.

PLAYER switches
-

Slide the switch to Player 1 if you want to play 
against the computer. Slide the switch to Player 2
if you want  to play against an opponent.

RESET button
-

Press this button with the tip of a pen or pencil if 
the unit starts to malfunction in any way. This will 
reset the program so that you can start over.  If this
does not work, refer to the troubleshooting section
of this manual.

HIPPO SLIDER switches
-

These switches are used to catch the lit up lily pads
by simply sliding them to the left or right.

GETTING STARTED

1. Choose a player mode by sliding the switch to 

Player 1 or Player 2.
NOTE: If you are playing 1 Player, the pink hippo 
is the only hippo that will function. The green hippo
will only function in the 2-player mode.

2. Press the ON/OFF button.

3. You will hear an opening tune and see a sequence

of lights flashing.

4.  When the sequence of lights stop flashing, the 

game will begin. You will begin to see lights randomly
flashing around the game area.

5. When a light gets to the row closest to your hippo,

slide your hippo to the light that is lit before it goes
out and press the 2 buttons on either side of the 
hippo to extend its head and "eat" the lily pad.

INSTRUCTIONS

Introducing the electronic version of the popular Hungry,
Hungry Hippo Game. Led lights, simple game play
and sliding hippos work together to make a game that
is fun and easy for preschooler's to play. Use your
sliding hippo to catch the lit up lily pads. The first player
to catch 10 lily pads wins the game!

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES

NOTE:
An adult should do battery installation. Always install
the batteries correctly according to the positive (+)
and negative (-) signs on the batteries.

1. Open the battery compartment door using a 

Philips screwdriver.

2.  Insert 3 "AA"/LR 6 batteries.  Be sure to match 

the "+" and "-" signs as shown.

3. Close the battery compartment door and 

replace the screw using a  Philips screwdriver.
