INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 

LIMITATIONS OF USE

WARNINGS:  

• Operation temperature for charger and power supply: -10 °C to +50 °C ( 14 °F to 122 °F)
• Upon delivery and before each use, inspect the charger and power adaptor to check 

for any eventual damage. DO NOT use the devices if the cord and/or plug appear 
damaged by the presence of cuts, holes or bent electrical contacts or cracks. 

• 

DO NOT expose the charger and power adaptor to heat, fi re, shock or high hu-

midity conditions that can generate condensation. 

• DO NOT expose the charger and power adaptor to sources of heat or sunlight. 

Place the battery charger in a cool place away from external heat sources.

• 

DO NOT use this equipment in the presence of mixtures containing a fl ammable 

anaesthetic substances including air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.

• Unless otherwise indicated, do not sterilize or immerse the charger or power 

adaptor in water, solvents, lubricants or other cleansing chemicals, nor expose 
them to them. 

• DO NOT allow water to reach the charging bays on the top of the charger. 
• DO NOT immerse water inside the power adaptor connector at the back of the 

charger. Keep the device clean and dry.

• DO NOT short-circuit, crush, open, tear, incinerate, or disassemble the charger 

or power adaptor. 

• DO NOT modify or replace the power cord of the charger.
• DO NOT use any other power adaptor than the one included in the OXYGEN – 

Battery Charger in combination with the charger.

• Use the battery charger and power adaptor only for the intended applications.
• When using medical equipment such as the charger and power adaptor, follow 

the electromagnetic compatibility (CEM) procedures provided by the hospital.

• DO NOT use the charger by applying electrical voltages other than those indicat-

ed on the unit and in the instructions for use.

• Use this equipment to charge and to store REF 60401 Battery Pack only. 

CLEANING

WARNINGS:  

• DO NOT immerse the charger and power adaptor in liquids.
• DO NOT sterilize the charger and power adaptor.

CAUTIONS:

• 

DO NOT use solvents, lubricants or other chemicals, unless otherwise specifi ed.

• DO NOT allow liquids or moisture into the electrical connections.
• DO NOT allow debris to enter electrical connections.

TO CLEAN THE BATTERY CHARGER

  1.  Unplug the charger from the power outlet. 
  2.  Wipe the battery charger with a soft cloth dampened with a non-abrasive hos-

pital disinfectant. Follow applicable hospital protocol for cleaning. 

  3.  Dry the equipment with a lint-free towel or medical-grade compressed air.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

Recommended storage and transport conditions: -20 °C to +60 °C (-4 °F to +140 °F), 
up to 75 % relative humidity. 

CAUTIONS:

• Carry or store the battery charger and power adaptor in low dust environments.
• DO NOT expose the battery charger and power adaptor to extreme temperature 

changes. 

DISPOSAL/RECYCLING

WARNINGS:  

• ALWAYS follow the current local recommendations and/or regulations 

governing environ-mental protection and risks associated with recycling 
or disposing of the equipment at the end of its useful life. 

• Per the European Union (EU) Waste Electronics and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) 

Directive 2002/96/EC, product must be collected separately. 

• DO NOT dispose of as unsorted municipal waste. Contact your local distributor 

for disposal information. 

• Contains no hazardous substances, per RoHS standard.
