Maccheroni
Bros is
a dual
overdriv
e consisting
of two
distinct circu

its, designed
to create
a wide
variety of
modern
versatile
new soun

ds. The
two channels
are called
Fred
and Mik
e, both
Italo-American
brickla
yers
with ver
y dif
ferent
personalities. F
red is
lanky and
pla-
cid, the
‘good’ brother
. This
channel
is based
on the
proprietary
PCN
circuit finel
y calibrated
to this
role. It
gives
a cream
y sound
and dy
-
namic ov
erdrive
with sw
eet midrang
e sustain
that fa
vors
a Leg
ato
techniq
ue. Mik
e, stout
and shor
t-tempered,
the ‘indomitable’
brother,
produces the
rock
sound obtainable
from a
tube am
p pulled
at full
throttle. This
channel
provides good
sustain and
presence with
clear
attack
of ev
ery
note pla
yed.
Its circuit
is based
on a
J-Fet
stadium,
combined with
other circuits
designed to
obtain the
best ov
erall sonic
perfor
mance.
