Installation

WARNING!

ODD drives, media and enclosures require careful

handling, especially when being transported. If you are not careful

with your equipment damage may result. Always handle your hard

devices with caution. Be sure that you are properly grounded by

wearing an anti-static strap when handling computer components

or discharge yourself of any static electricity build-up by touching a

large grounded metal surface (such as the computer case) for several

seconds.

1.  Using a Phillip’s head screw driver, remove the two ODD bay

access screws, from the back of the enclosure releasing the plastic

bezel.

2.  Remove the plastic bezel and slide the drive tray from the front of

the enclosure.

3.  Slide your slimline ODD into the drive tray from the front,

ensuring the SATA plug on your ODD is in line with the SATA

reciprocal on the back of the tray.

4.  Ensure your ODD is firmly seated, then use your Phillip’s head

screw driver with the provided screws to secure the drive to the

tray using the mounting points on the side of the drive and tray.

5.  Slide the assembled drive tray back into the enclosure housing.

6.  Replace the plastic rear bezel and fasten using the previously

removed ODD bay access screws.

7.  Using the included USB 3.0 cable, connect the enclosure to

an available USB port on the host computer system. No driver

software will install automatically once the operating system is

launched.
