Getting Started

Charging your battery recorder

Before using the SPYBATT007 we recommend 

making sure the device is fully charged. To charge, 

connect to a PC USB port, or a 5V USB charger. 

While charging the blue and red lights will flash, 

once fully charged the red light will go out and the 

blue light will turn on. The recorder will take 4-6 

hours to fully charge from a flat battery.

Installing microSD card

The microSD card is installed in to the bottom 

of the unit, and then one of the adhesive plates 

are used to cover it. We recommend testing the 

device records OK, and that you can access the 

recording on your PC before sticking down this 

cover.

Playback on your computer

For playing back the files on your computer, we 

recommend using VLC Media Player. The latest 

version can be downloaded for free from http://

www.videolan.org

Power on – standby mode

Press and hold the power button for 3-4 seconds. 

The red status light will come on. The unit is now 

in standby mode.

Recording video

From standby mode, click the power button. The 

red light will flash twice to indicate the unit has 

start to record. To stop recording, click the power 

button again. The red light will come on and the 

unit is back to standby mode.

Motion detection record

From standby mode, press and hold the power 

button for about 3 seconds then release, the 

blue  light  will  flash  and  the  red  light  goes  out. 

The device is now in motion detection mode. 

When motion is detected, the blue light will flash 

once to indicate it has started recording. To stop 

recording, click the power button and the device 

will return to standby mode, indicated by the red 

light coming on.
