  Only use the drum truck on firm, level, unobstructed surfaces which  

 

are capable of supporting the truck and drum.

  Do not overload the drum truck - maximum capacity is 

250kg

.

  Do not allow others to ride on the drum truck.

  Do not use on tarmacadam. The drum truck must only be used on a  

 

concrete surface.

  Replace or repair damaged parts. Use only genuine parts.  

 

 

Non-genuine parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.

  Use a qualified person to lubricate and maintain the truck. 

DO NOT

  

 

use brake fluid to top up hydraulic unit. Use Sealey hydraulic oil only.

4.1.  Lifting a Drum:

 

Turn the release valve (5) fully clockwise.  Move the truck to bring  

 

the lifting frame (1) in contact with the drum.  Repeatedly depress  

 

the handle (4) to raise the lifting frame so that the drum is  

 

 

between the  clamp tooth (2) and the retaining bracket (8) on the  

 

lower part of the lifting frame.  Ensure that the retaining plate    

 

rests below the top rim of the drum as in fig 2.  Pull the clamp    

 

tooth operating lever (3) towards you.  Ensure that the clamp    

 

tooth (2) securely holds the drum. Continue depressing the  

 

 

truck handle (4) until the drum is off the ground.

 WARNING:

 Ensure that the drum position is as low as possible   

 

prior to moving the truck.

4.2. Transportation:

 

Pull/push the truck handle (4) to move the raised drum.  Turn the  

 

handle to change direction of movement.

  

WARNING:

 To avoid damage to the truck or the drum 

DO NOT

   

 

turn the release valve rapidly.

4.3.  Releasing a Drum:  

 

SLOWLY turn the release valve (5) anticlockwise and lower the   

 

drum until it stands firmly on the ground.

 

Push the clamp tooth operating lever (3) away from you to  

 

 

release the clamp tooth (2). 

 

 2.  INTRODUCTION

Less manual effort required as hydraulic ram clamps drum, then raises it 

off the ground for simple manoeuvring and relocation. Cradle is fitted with 

two smooth rolling, heavy-duty wheels and one castor with brake. Suitable 

for 205ltr drums.
