The 

XPRO 4000

 universal two-channel car amplifier is suited to drive bass, mid+treble and broadband speakers. Its high 

output power makes it ideal for sub boxes and sub tubes in a bridge circuit. It can be used with 2 or 1 channels. Its sound 
switch is adjustable, allowing you to set the optimal frequency transmission for your system. For enhancing the transmission 
of bass frequencies the amplifier also has an adjustable SUPER BASS boost circuit.

Electronic sound switch

The amplifier can be used universally because of the three-state adjustable active sound switch. The sound switch allows you 
to use it either as a traditional amplifier to drive broadband car speakers, or to separately drive bass or mid+treble speakers 
only. The sound switch’s cut-off frequency can be adjusted between 50 - 250 Hz or 120 - 3.000 Hz. This means that in sub 
bass (LPF) mode the frequency range can be adjusted between 10 - 50 Hz and 10 - 250 Hz, and in HPF mode, between 
120 - 50,000 Hz and 3.000 - 50,000 Hz. In broadband (FULL) mode the transmitted frequency range is 10 - 50,000 Hz.
Both sets of switches and controls affect two channels identically.

Connecting the speakers

Make sure you connect the speakers with the correct polarity. In stereo mode use at least 2 Ohm speakers. When using in a 
high-power bridged connection, use at least 4 Ohm speakers.
You can achieve this load impedance by connecting multiple speakers, but you must make sure that their total impedance 
together reaches the specified value. The recommended cross-section of the speaker cords is 2x1mm

Connecting the input

Use a stereo cable with RCA plugs to connect the two sockets labeled “RCA” to the source (car stereo, headset etc.). 
Lead this cable away from the power and speaker cables.
If your car stereo only has a speaker output and no low-level (line) out, you can use the high-level input labeled HIGH IN 
with the included cable. If the audio device has both types of output, it is recommended to use the low-level one. You must 
never connect both types of input at the same time.

Connecting the power supply

You must supply power through three connectors to the amplifier. The length of the cable between the battery and the 
external fuse socket (12 V, not included) should not exceed 50 cm. The ground cable should also be as short as possible.
Connect the negative wire first. It is very important that this connection is perfectly grounded. Otherwise the amplifier may 
produce noise or malfunction. The cross-section of the power cords should be at least 6-10 mm

* If your car stereo has no 12 V output for this purpose, connect this point to the power cable. In this case, however, it is 
recommended to either put a switch before the remote control’s connection, or to take the control signal from a location 
which has no voltage when the ignition is off. Otherwise the amplifier would be on all the time, draining the car’s battery.
