Safety and Notes

Health warning

Heart rate monitor is an accessory used by consumers as a sporting auxiliary rather 

than medical devices. Subject to some external factors, the readings are only for 

reference. 

Battery warning

If the following guidelines are not followed, it may cause damages, fire, chemical 

burns, electrolyte leakage to the device, shorten the battery life and bring risk of 

injury.

Please do not expose the device to heat or in a hot place.

Please do not punch or incinerate the device or battery.

Please store the device in the temperature range of 0°--- 25°C for long time 

storage.

Please do not operate the device at temperatures other than -10°--- 45°C.

Please do not charge the device at temperatures other than 0°---45°C.

Please consult your local waste disposal department in accordance with applica-

ble local regulations when disposing your equipment/battery. 

Please do not use sharp objects to remove the battery. The battery of this product 

is not removable. If the battery is not replaced properly, it may explode. Please 

do not replace the battery by yourself.

Warranty Service

RIDEIWAKE product is guaranteed to have no defects in materials or manufactur-

High Beam and Low Beam dual source lighting, can be independently 

controlled.

Intelligent Brightness Mode can automatically adjust the brightness in 

accordance with the riding speed.

Wireless remote switch enables an easy control of heart rate measurement 

and bike light levels.

Built-in intelligent temperature regulation circuit to prevent overheating of 

the device.

Quick mounting and dismounting bracket, adaptable to different bicycle 

handlebars.

IP66 dustproof and waterproof, 1-meter impact resistant.

More than 2 years Standby Mode runtime.

2. Charge the device

Built-in Two 18650 rechargeable li-ion batteries, RS33 can be charged with a USB 

cable (Be sure the charger or cable you are using is produced by certified supplier 

with a safety certification).

A waterproof rubber cover is on the back of the product. Open the rubber cover 

and connect RS33 and the power source with standard USB charging cable, it will 

start charging.

This product supports 5V/2A charging, and takes about 4.5 to 6 hours for fully 

charge, depending on the charging environment.

When charging, the RS33 will be turned off while the battery icon is displayed on 

the screen, and the three buttons flash blue. To save power, the screen backlight 

will be turned off automatically, and you can wake it up by pressing any button to 

view the charging status.

When the battery is full, the middle button blue light is lit, RS33 will be OFF and 

has no response on pressing buttons. Removing the Micro_USB cable and wait for 

2 seconds, RS33 will automatically exit the OFF state and can be turned on 

normally.

Notes

To prevent RS33 contacting points from being corroded, please make sure the 

charging contacts are completely dry and clean before connecting to the power 

source.

For long time storage, in order to maintain the Li-ion battery activity, please 

charge RS33 once every six months. Please do not store RS33 in places with direct 

sunlight or high temperature.

When the ambient temperature is out of the range of -10° to 45°C, please do not 

charge the device.

3. Mounting and Dismounting the bracket

To ensure the best GPS signal

reception, please use the

standard bracket for mounting

RS33 to bicycle handlebar, and

make the screen facing the sky.

This product includes three

rubber pads, one thick & two

thin.  

 

4. Buttons and lighting instructions

This product has 5 buttons in total, the operation includes short press, long press 

and double-click, of which long press time is 3 seconds, double-click time is 

within 0.3 second.

Power button – for turning device on or off; for enter
Pause button – for start or pause; for backtrack
Manual button – for manual; for page up or page down
- button – for turning on LED light; for decreasing light lever; for scrolling 
down options
+ button – for turning on LED light; for increasing light level; for scrolling 
up options

5. Turning RS33 ON/OFF

Long press      button, RS33 is on; long press       button again, RS33 is off

.

6. Custom Settings

6.1, For the first time you turn on RS33, please set up 

the unit in metric or imperial according to your usage 

habits, including three types: speed & mileage, 

altitude, and temperature as the chart:

6.2, In order to calculate the calories more accurately, 

please input personal information such as gender, age, 

weight, height etc. This product is a closed system 

which cannot connect to internet; thus, the personal 

information will not be disclosed.

6.3, Set your own opening words 

Users can customize the opening words of your RS33. 

Operation as below:

How to input words:

Short press         or        button to select the character, 

short press       button to confirm selection. If you 

need to delete character, please select the

ter, then short press the         button to delete the 

character, from the back to the front. Press        button 

to switch to the next line. After completing the entry, 

press        button to save and exit.

7. Start riding

7.1 Main Interface Description

Bluetooth connection icon

Battery indicator of remote switch. When the battery voltage is lower than 3.3V, 

this icon appears and flashes to remind you to charge the remote switch ASAP.

Battery indicator of RS33. It is divided into four compartments to indicate the 

power. When the battery voltage is lower than 3.3V, it is displayed as a red frame, 

to tell that the power is insufficient and needs to be charged ASAP.

Satellite icon. This icon flashes when RS33 searches for satellites. After the it is 

positioned, the icon is fixed.

GPS signal icon. This icon appears as a border when RS33 is searching for 

satellites.

When RS33 is positioned, the icon is displayed in orange. If GPS signal is good, 9 

compartments are fully displayed.

Clock. It is the GPS given time. To accurately display the local time, please 

manually set the local time zone.

Riding Direction                                      Light Modes

7.2, GPS and Riding Data Reading
Before RS33 detects and records your riding speed and distance, you must 

complete the GPS positioning in first.

1. Long press        button to turn RS33 on. 

2. Please stay in your position and wait for the satellite to complete the 

positioning before moving. When the positioning is completed, the satellite 

signal bar will turn orange.

3. Short press        button to start riding. You can pause or start the ride at any 

time by pressing        button.

4. Short press        button to scroll between the first page and the second page of 

riding data.

Notes

It takes about 30 to 60 seconds for RS33 to get GPS satellite signals. When there 

are shelters around or it is in a rainy weather, the searching time may be extended.

1. Turn RS33 on in an open area with no shelter around.

2. Ensure RS33 screen is facing the sky.

3. Waiting for the device to search GPS satellites.

4. During its searching (satellite icon flashes), do not move in order to maintain 

the searching speed.

5. During its searching, please avoid surrounded tall buildings, trees, high-voltage 

power towers ect.

7.3, Screen Backlight Setting
RS33 has two backlight brightness settings suitable for 

daytime and nighttime respectively. In order to obtain 

good visual effects and save battery power, please set 

the backlight properly.

Operation: Scroll though Menu          Setting    

Brightness

Daytime backlight: LED light is off, enter the menu to 

set the backlight brightness.

Nighttime backlight: LED light is on, enter the menu 

to set the backlight brightness.
Notes

RS33 will automatically switch from daytime backlight to nighttime backlight 

when the LED is turned on at night.

If the backlight brightness is too high at night, it may affect the riding vision. 

Please set it properly.

7.4, Historical Record

Operation: Long press        button to enter Menu    

    

history       rides. Short 

press         or        button to scroll data pages.

Note: If the storage space of RS33 is insufficient, the 

older history will be overwritten.

 

How to save riding record

1. Turn off RS33, it will automatically save the riding 

data.

2, Scroll through Menu       New start, RS33 will 

automatically save the previous riding data.

3, Scroll through Menu   

    

Tools to use countdown or 

other training tools, RS33 will automatically saves the 

previous riding data.

7.5, Restarts a New Ride
Access menu and select New Start to start a new ride. The previous ride data will 

be automatically saved by RS33 and can be viewed in the history.

7.6, LED Brightness Control During Riding
During riding, RS33 LED lights can be easily turned on and off. There are dual 

light sources in RS33 including High Beam and Low Beam, which can be 

independently controlled and adjusted or made different combined light levels at 

your wishes.

Short press         or         button, the both LED lights turn on.

With the LED lights on, short press         button, the Low Beam will be switched 

to different level through 0--100Lm--200Lm--500Lm--800Lm; 
With the LED lights on, short press         button, the High Beam will be switched 

to different level through 0--100Lm--200Lm--500Lm--800Lm.

Double click       or        button, it will enter special mode. Short press        or   

button to cycle through SOS-Strobe-Flashing Mode. Double click        or    

button again, the light will resume to previous stable light.

Short Press        button to turn off the LED lights. RS33 will automatically 

memorize the last brightness mode. Next time turn on the lights, it will directly 

enter the memorized brightness mode.

7.7, Instant One-click Response: High Beam / Low Beam
In order to see clearly remote area, please activate the One-Click-To High Beam. 

Long press the        button, the High Beam light outputs 900Lm and Low Beam 

light 200Lm, with a throw up to 150 meters. 

Short press the        or         button to exit this one-click mode and resume to 

previous light level. 
In order to see clearly near area, please activate the One-Click-To Low Beam. 

Long press the       button, the Low Beam light outputs 900Lm and High Beam 

light 200Lm, with broaden illumination in front of the wheel. 

Short press the        or         button to exit this one-click mode and resume to 

previous light level.

7.8, Intelligent Brightness Mode
RS33 equips Intelligent Brightness Mode. The 

brightness is automatically adjusted according to

the riding speed, which greatly increase riding fun

and save battery power.

With the lights on, long press       Button to enter the Intelligent Brightness 

Mode. The lower left corner of the screen will indicate from manu       AUTO. 

8. Flashlight Mode

RS33 can be used as a flashlight.

Long press        button, Low Beam light turns on, and can be adjusted through 

0--100Lm--200Lm--500Lm--800Lm.

Long press        button, High Beam light turns on, and can be adjusted through 

0--100Lm--200Lm--500Lm--800Lm.

To turn off the light and exit Flashlight Mode, please long press        button. This 

can effectively prevent false triggering in hand. 

Flashing Special functions are also available in the Flashlight Mode, the 

operation is the same as that during riding.

9. Candle Lamp Mode

For camping or special circumstances, there is needs for long time ultra-low 

illumination. Please activate Candle Light Mode. 

Operation: Long press       button to access the Menu        Candle Lamp

Long press        button for 3 seconds, Candle Lamp Mode is off.

10. Wireless Remote Switch

RS33 comes together with a Wireless Remote Switch.

With RS33 on, long press the         &         buttons simultaneously, the button 

indicator will flash twice and the remote switch is activated. 

Install the remote switch close to RS33, a heart icon will appear on the RS33 

screen, indicating that the remote switch and RS33 are connected.

With RS33 LED lights on, short press         or         button, the LED Low beam or 

High beam can be adjusted to different levels independently. This is equivalent 

to short pressing the         or        button.

With RS33 LED lights on, long press         button, RS33 will directly enter turbo 

mode 1800LM and last for 30S.

Long press         button

the indicator on the heart rate window           will flash 

green. Press and hold your finger softly on the window for 15 to 20S (to ensure 

measurement accuracy, please do not press hard), RS33 screen will indicate the 

heart rate. You can measure your heart rate while riding. 

Release finger from the heart rate window, the heart rate sensor will automatical-

ly stop measuring after a few seconds. Put your finger on the window again, the 

heart rate sensor will automatically starts working again.

If the ambient light is strong, the window may lit on green light. Please long 

press         button to turn off the heart rate measurement.

11. Practical Tools

RS33  is equipped with multiple riding tools, to help users measure exercise 

intensity, schedule training programs ect, including countdown time, countdown 

mileage, two-point ranging, and stopwatch. Tool functions can be accessed via 

menu    Tools. For detailed operation, please download and check our detailed

12. Record LON & LAT

Access Menu         LON&LAT, the latitude and longitude (WGS84 coordinates) 

of your location is indicated and you can define the name of this place.

RS33 in maximum can store LON & LAT of 5 

locations. More than 5 records, the new one will 

automatically overwrite the old one.

How to input words:

Short press         or        button to select the

Use the menu to re-enter the stored location data for reading or changing names.

(3) Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water ingress, flooding, fire or any external 

factors.

(4) Damage caused by repairs by non-RIDEIWAKE authorized warranty personnel.

(5)  Damage caused by artificial modification of the device without the written consent of 

RIDEIWAKE.

13. Temperature Regulation 

RS33 has built-in temperature regulation circuit and professional algorithm, 

which automatically adjusts the brightness output according to the working state 

and ambient temperature to ensure the device will not be over heated.

Batter Power > 90%
Batter Power > 70%
Batter Power > 50%
Batter Power > 30%
Batter Power < 10%, please charge your device ASAP

15. Set Your Time Zone

To have accurate local time display, please set your time zone in first.

Operation: Long press      button to access Menu       Setting        Time zone,

then selection your local time zone.
