MONO 31 BAND GRAPHIC
EQUALISER

5. Clip LED :

This LED will light when any section of the equalizer is within 5 dB of clipping. Occasional

flickering of the clip LED is acceptable, but if it remains on continuously you should turn down the level
control or reduce the output level of the preceding component to avoid audible distortion.

6. Bypass switch :

This switch inserts or removes the equalizer path. When operated, the bypass LED (7)

will illuminate indicating the graphic is in bypass mode. When bypassed, the input signal is routed direct-
ly to the output jacks. With power loss, the unit automatically reverts to bypass condition.

7. Bypass LED :

When this LED is on it indicates the graphic is in bypass mode.

8. Range switch :

This selects the amount of gain for each of the 31 frequency control slides from ±6dB to

±12dB.

9. Filter range indicator :

When the 6dB range is selected the green LED lights. When the 12dB range is

selected the red LED lights.

10. Power switch :

This is used to switch the equalizer on and off.

11. VU meter :

Indicates output level

12. High pass LED :

When this LED is on the  High pass filter (40Hz / 12dB) is active.

13. Low pass LED :

When this LED is on the  Low pass filter (16KHz / 12dB) is active.

14. XLR input and output connector :

The XLR connectors are actively balanced and are wired : pin1 =

ground, pin2 = audio “hot” and pin3 = audio “cold”. When unbalanced connections are used, pin1 =
ground, pin 2= audio “hot”, and pin3 = ground.

15. 1/4" TRS phone plug input and output connector :

The 1/4" TRS connectors are actively balanced and

are wired : tip = audio “hot”, ring = audio “cold”, and sleeve = ground. Unbalanced connectors on the
equalizer are wired, tip= audio “hot”, and sleeve = ground.

16. RCA input and output connector :

The RCA connectors are unbalanced. The tip is audio “hot” and

sleeve is ground.

NOTE : While you can use any input connector with any output connector, only one set of these con-
nectors is to be used at a time.

17. AC voltage selector :

This selector allows choosing the supply voltage for the equalizer from either

115VAC or 230VAC. This is factory set at 230VAC.

18. Ground lift switch :

This switch is used to disconnect the signal ground from the mains and chassis

earth ground. If it is determined that the equalizer is the cause of hum or buzz in your system due to a
ground loop, move this switch to the "lift" position.

19. Power cord connector :

This connector is meant for the connection of the supplied mains cord.

20. AC fuse :

If this blows, replace with the same size and fuse rating. If the fuse blows continually,

remove the graphic from service and return to place of purchase for repair.

NOTE: Do not use any other value fuse than shown. Failure to do so may cause permanent damage.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Read and keep these instructions
2. Heed all warning
3. Follow all instructions
4. Clean only with a damp cloth
5. Install in accordance with the manufacturers instructions
6. Do not install near any major heat sources.
7. Unplug the unit during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
8. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the unit has been damaged in any
way, such as the power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid or objects have fallen into the case,
exposed to rain, does not operate normally or has been dropped.

CAUTION: To prevent the risk of fire or electrical shock, the unit must not be exposed to dripping or
splashing liquids. Ensure all liquid filled objects such as vases are not placed on top of the unit.
