Identify Your Pole

1   Pick out the three strongest poles for the tripod.
2   Label them D, R, L (Door, Right, Left)
3   Set aside the next strongest pole for canvas lifting 

(this will be marked “x” on 

following diagrams)

4   Set aside the two skinniest, weakest poles for the smoke flaps.

Set the Tripod and Place Poles

1   Raise the tripod by walking up under poles L & R.
2   Swing the R outer pole out to an equally spaced position 

between D & L.

3   Set the remaining poles up, leaning into the supporting 

tripod, using your pole count diagrams as a guide.

Note: Leave a gap at “X” for your Canvas Pole.

Prepare the Tripod

1   Spread the cover canvas flat with the outside facing up.
2   Lay L&R poles at edge, intersecting the middle of the 

smoke flap.

3   Lay pole D over L&R at a 90 degree angle over the tie flap.
4   Tie the three poles together where the poles intersect.
5   Allow 15 feet of extra rope to hang from the tripod.
