(formerly Q-Guard™) server software. This card summarizes how to use this system with Quanergy LiDAR
M-Series sensors, including all models of M8™ and MQ™-8.
Overview
The QPU-L7 is a Linux®-based computer with Q
ORTEX
DTC server software pre-installed for sensor
operation, data collection, and surveillance. The QPU-L7 can accept inputs from up to six sensors. The
QPU-L7’s Ethernet network capacity is sufficient to support the raw data stream from sensors.

ORTEX
DTC is a LiDAR-based 3D perception and volumetric sensing solution that detects, tracks, and
classifies (DTC) of person and vehicle objects for applications in security and smart cities and spaces.
The Q
ORTEX
DTC server receives input from the LiDAR sensors and publishes output to the user’s
network infrastructure. That output is consumed by a Q
ORTEX
DTC client and/or third-party application.
The Quanergy-installed server on the QPU-L7 is ready to run as soon as you turn it on and activate a
license. (On the same network, the client is user-installed on a separate Windows machine as explained
in the
Q
ORTEX
DTC
User Guide
, and M-Series sensors are installed as explained in each sensor’s
User Guide.
