BATTERY REPLACEMENT WARNING

If the batteries are low, a red light (in the middle) will warn you
immediately. To test the batteries, enter your code to open the
door. When the batteries are low the red light will light up. When
this does not occur, the batteries are fine. When the red light
flashes you should change the batteries immediately. Failure to
do so could result in you not being able to open the safe without
resorting to the use of the override key.

OVERRIDE INSTRUCTIONS TO OPEN THE SAFE

For your convenience, we have engineered a manual override
system into your Protector EL-1. If you forget or misplace your
combination, remove the small plate in the middle of the lock.
Behind this you will find a keyhole. The key delivered with you
safe will fit this keyhole. Insert the key and turn it to the left in a
counter-clockwise direction. Turn also the knob in a clockwise
direction toward the right. This will manually open your safe at
any time.
Do not keep the key in the safe. In the event of battery failure
you will not be able to open the safe.
