Installation Instructions

CAUTION! Do not install damaged components.

DANGER

HOT GLASS

 TO TOUCH GLASS.

A barrier designed to reduce the risk of 

burns from the hot viewing glass is provided 

with this appliance and shall be installed for 

the protection of children and other at-risk 

individuals.

Preparation

CAUTION!  Risk of Burns! 

The  fireplace  should  be 

turned off and cooled before contemporary kit is installed. 

•    Remove the CK36MS burner assembly from the base 

pan assembly by removing four screws.

•  Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power.
•   Remove decorative fronts, glass assemblies, lava 

rock, embers and logs, if previously installed.

CAUTION! Risk of Cuts, Abrasions or Flying Debris. 

Wear protective gloves and safety glasses during instal

-

lation. Sheet metal edges are sharp.

WARNING! Choking Hazard!  

Keep media and stones 

out of reach of children.

Note:  

If an optional LINER-36ST or LINER-36PIER kit 

will be used with the CK36MS, the LINER-36ST/LINER-

36PIER instructions will be needed during installation of 

the CK36MS kit.

Note:  

 The CK36MS is not compatible with fiber refractory.

Note: 

The control module MUST be set to 30% 

turndown when the CK36MS kit is installed.

a qualified service technician.
