Installation Instructions for the Macurco™ WHK-1 Weatherproof Housing Kit
The WHK-1 is a weatherproof enclosure that provides means to protect mount all Macurco standard 4x4 mount
gas detectors. By weatherproofing a gas detector, the unit is able to monitor gas concentrations while being
protected from debris and indirect spray.

Assembly Instructions
1.
Remove clear cover from the enclosure by removing the 4 screws and remove the contents.
2.
Place each of the 4 mounting screws in one of the shouldered holes at the corners of the enclosure
base.
3.
Place the enclosure onto the wall to test for proper alignment. Place the unit against the wall in its
intended position.
4.
Fasten the enclosure to the wall by installing the 4 mounting screws.
5.
Run the wiring through the strain relief. Connect the wiring according to the instructions provided for
the detector.
6.
Install the gas detector onto the top of the 4 standoffs. Secure it in place using the 4 remaining
machine screws.
