Connecting Powered Speakers

http://www.mackie.com/ppmseries

Stereo Mains + Subwoofer

Connect your Main Left and Right Powered Speakers to the MAIN LEFT and MAIN RIGHT jacks on the
front of the PPM.  Connect a Subwoofer to the MAIN SUB jack.

The controls for these outputs are highlighted below.

The PPM Series mixers give you options for hooking up Powered Speakers OR passive speakers
powered by an external Power Amp via the line-level outputs located on the front of the PPM608
and PPM1008, and the top of the PPM1012.

Some examples of Powered Speakers are the Mackie SRM series, HD series, and Thump series.
For best results, use balanced cables when connecting your Powered Speakers.

Important Note:

Never plug a Passive Speaker into the Line level outputs of your PPM Mixer, as

this output is extremely low level and requires a power amp.  Please see our document on how to
connect Passive speakers.
