In principle, avoid all damage caused by external influ-
ences. Do not lift the louvres by the slats. Louvres with
a maximum weight of 50 kg can be lifted by the
C-profile frame. With heavy louvres use the ring bolt
suspensions provided. Do not use individual slats under
any circumstances as footholds during installation.
Any damage, e.g. deformation of the slats, dents,
impacts, frame warpage etc. can lead to insufficient
water drainage and undesired noise. Report all damage
immediately to the supplier or manufacturer. Damage
may impair the proper functioning of the louvre and at
best cause dangerous circumstances to occur.

ateX

WSG dampers are only approved in specific designs and with

appropriate identification for Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 according

to ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.

If the fitter or operator changes the dampers in any way, the

ATEX approval becomes null and void. It is important to ensure

that the damper and additional equipment are installed in

compliance with zoning requirements.

installation

ateX:

Under no circumstances may ATEX louvres be

fitted after a fall or impact with visible or concealed
damage.

Wsg-50

&

 Wsg-75:

 These louvres are only suitable

for vertical applications. The louvres must be adequa-
tely sealed to fixtures and in the area of flanges. This is
the responsibility of the planning engineer or fitter.

Wsg-h

&

 Wsg-sd:

 These WSG models require a

base frame construction which must be produced by
the customer. With louvres which are larger than 4 m²
or with multipart louvres, the customer must produce
additional support structures in the area of the sur-
rounding water duct. The planning engineer or fitter is
responsible for sufficient support. The louvre is placed
and fixed to the structure mentioned above. Make
absolutely sure that all the surrounding flanges are
seated properly after the louvre is positioned. To en-
sure drainage of water from the lower slats, the louvre
must be installed with a slight inclination in the direc-
tion of the slats. The louvre is then ready to operate

after an air duct and water drains (WSG-SD without
water drains) are connected without warpage.

ateX:

All relevant national and international stan-

dards and regulations for Ex zones must be observed.
On louvres with ATEX functionality in particular, the
louvre housing must be earthed using the earthing
braids attached by the manufacturer. No mechanical
changes may be made to the product. In addition do
not attach any components (frost monitors, tempera-
ture sensors, etc.) to the louvres if they have not been
analyzed for ignition risk by the appropriate manufac-
turers or approved for ATEX zones.
