INSTRUCTIONS

Product Summary

The ELM (Encrypted Learn Mode

) 4-Button Key-

chain Touchpad is an alkaline battery-powered, wire-
less touchpad that allows users to arm and disarm
their system, activate a police or auxiliary panic

alarm, or activate a panel or SnapCard

 output.

Encrypted signal transmissions (or rolling code) pro-
vide higher security and virtually eliminate signal
fraud.

The touchpad is designed to fit on a keychain, in a
pocket or purse.

Installation Guidelines

Use the following guidelines when adding Keychain
Touchpads to the system:

Keychain Touchpads are learned into the panel as
sensors.

Each learned Keychain Touchpad uses one of the
available sensor numbers.

Keychain Touchpads are learned into unsuper-
vised groups (since they don’t send supervisory
signals) that determine how the panel responds
when the lock and unlock buttons are pressed
together (police or auxiliary alarm).

Keychain Touchpads can be bypassed or deleted.
to prevent lost or stolen ones from operating the
system.
