SETUP and OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CLOCK SET UP INSTRUCTIONS

1.   Move the clock body and base close to its final location for assembly and set up. Turn the base over and adjust the

four adjustable floor levelers all the way in/up by turning clockwise (Figure 1).

2.   Turn the base over and place on the floor. Have 1-2 people assist with lifting the clock body and placing it in the

bracket on the base (Figure 2). Install and tighten the four bolts, washers, and nuts in the base mounting bracket

(Figure 3 & 4). Make sure the clock is positioned firmly on the floor. Adjust levelers (counter-clockwise) as needed

to level the clock.

  WARNING:

ENSURE CLOCK IS POSITIONED SQUARE AND FIRM ON THE FLOOR SO THAT IT WILL NOT FALL OVER.

3.   Access the clock’s quartz movement through the back access panel (Figure 5 and 6). Gently pull the knob on the

back access panel to release from magnetic catches. Replace this panel after set up is complete.

WARNING:

KEEP PLASTIC BAGS AND SMALL PARTS AWAY FROM CHILDREN.

QUARTZ MOVEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

SETTING THE TIME

1.   Install one “AA” size alkaline battery according to the +/- symbols in the battery holder (Figure 7). Do not install the

batteries on the Pendulum Drive motor at this time.

2.   Set the time by using the Time Setting dial (Figure 7) to rotate the hands to the correct time.

PENDULUM SET-UP

1. Release the Pendulum Guide from the Transport-Locking Pin (Figure 8) by gently pushing it sideways, allowing the guide to hang freely.

2. Hang the pendulum by the hook (Figure 9) on the pendulum guide. (Figure 10).

3. The pendulum hook must fit snug on the pendulum guide to prevent wobbling, erratic movement. The hook can be crimped with a pliers if necessary

(Figures 10 & 11).

4.  Install two “D” size alkaline battery for pendulum drive. (Figure 8)

5.  Start the pendulum by moving it to the far left of center and release it to swing.

6.  Let the clock operate a few minutes until the pendulum settles into an even swinging motion.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

If the clock begins to lose time or pendulum does not swing, this is a sign of weak or exhausted batteries. Replace with new alkaline batteries.
