ELITE 2.7kW FAN HEATER
USER INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Children of less than 3 years should be kept away from the appliance unless continuously
supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch ON/OFF
the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal
operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the
appliance or perform user maintenance.
It is recommended that the user does not perform mechanical or electrical maintenance
on this appliance. if in doubt contact the manufacturer.
If the supply cord is damaged. it must only be replaced by the manufacturer in order to
avoid hazard.
INSTALLATION
The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
When the feet and handle are attached the appliance must not be moved during
operation. If the chains are used to hang the appliance it must be installed 1.8mtrs from
the floor. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.
Hang your new ELITE with the chains provided ( The hooks may need opening out a little
prior to there first use ) or stand it on the floor. Choosing the right position is important to
ensure maximum benefit from the air movement created and the heat produced.
All greenhouses are different so no firm recommendations can be made.
It is most important however to ensure that the air can circulate properly. Clearance from
any surface must be no less than 150mm.
OPERATION
Details of the four position rotary switch as below:
Position 1
‘OFF’
Position 2
Fan only ’ON’ (for summer use)
Position 3
Fan and Half heat controlled by the thermostat
Position 4
Fan and Full heat controlled by the thermostat
The circulating fan in your ELITE is controlled by the thermostat meaning the fan will turn on and
off with the heating elements giving increased economy.
The thermostat probe is the copper phial sited on the side of the unit. Be sure to protect this
from direct sunlight (kitchen foil can be used to form a simple shield against heat from the sun).
The thermostat cannot be moved from the side of the electrical control box.
