Honeywell Disposable Particulate Respirator User Instructions 

NOTE:  In accordance with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.134(f)*  any worker required to wear this respirator 
must be fit tested before using this product in the work environment.   

 

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

 

Follow these instructions each and every time respirator is worn. 

 

1.  Cup the outside of the respirator in hand keeping nose bridge pointed away from you.  

Allow the head straps to hang freely. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

2.  Press the respirator firmly against your face with the narrow end on the bridge of your 

nose. 

 
 
 
 
 
 

3.  Pull the bottom strap over your head and position it below your ears  

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

4.  . Pull the top strap over your head and position it high on the back of your head. 

 
 
 
 
 

5.  Respirators with adjustable head-straps only:  adjust tension by pulling head-straps evenly 

with both hands.  If tightened too much, tension may be decreased by pushing out on the 
back of the buckle. 

 
 
 
 
 
 

6.  Mold the nose area to the shape of the face, running the fingertips of both hands from the 

top of the nosepiece down both sides while pressing inward. Always use both hands. 

 

 

 
PERFORMING USER SEAL CHECK 
 

1.  Place both hands over the respirator without disturbing its position. 

2.  Inhale sharply.  If fitting properly, the mask will collapse slightly toward your face.   

3.  If you detect air-leaks or the mask does not collapse at all, readjust the head straps and/or the nose-piece and 

repeat step 2.
