         INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Dear Mom, Dear Dad,

We are very happy that you have chosen our baby hammock intended
for babies since their very birth. You are holding a product that we have
manufactured with love in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with Czech
manufacturers and suppliers, using high-quality natural materials. By
purchasing this product, you are helping the development of sheltered
workshops.

Thank you!
Your Hojdavak Team

Our Hojdavak hammock

soon calms your baby down and provides him/her

with much needed good quality sleep. The spring provides rhythmical up-
and- down rocking - the same rocking your baby used to experience with
his/her mother walking during her pregnancy; it makes him/her feel safe.
This is why babies like all kinds of rocking.

Your baby will lie in the hammock with slightly curved back and legs bent to
the body. Most physiotherapists recommend carrying babies in exactly this
posture, as it helps correct spinal development and reduces colic. Not only
will your baby relax thanks to the hammock: so will his/her mother who thus
will have more time for herself and for the rest of her family.

Our baby hammock was awarded a TÜV quality certificate and complies with
stringentEU general product safety standards (EC Directive 2001/95/EC)

BABY HAMMOCK ASSEMBLY

Start with the spring:
check whether the safety
rope passes through the
spring, the snap hook and
the chain link. Check the
tightness of the knot
(figure 8 bend knot*) and
check it regularly. Adjust its
length according to your
baby’s weight.

*FIGURE 8 BEND KNOT

THIS KNOT SHOWS NO PROPENSITY TO SELF-UNTYING; IT

IS RELATIVELY EASY TO UNTIE EVEN AFTER BEARING A SE-

VERE LOAD; IT IS SUITABLE FOR JOINING CABLE ENDS IF YOU

WANT TO MAKE A LOOP; BOTH FREE ENDS MUST REMAIN AT

LEAST 10CM LONG.

1

Insert the chain link

in the prepared suspension

system and screw it closed.

2

Insert the mattress into
the sling.

5

Arrange the sides of the

sling in plies and insert the

wooden spacing bars into

their holders.

6

Make a loop on each end
of the pull rope and insert
one of these into the snap
hook.

7

Insert baby and tie the side

ribbons together to make

a small bow.

8

Take the textile sling:
at its upper ply, fold the
material into small plies so
it will fit into the snap
hook.

3

Insert the plied material

into the snap hook and

close the snap hook. You

will place the baby into the

hammock from the side,

where the sling is fitted

with ribbons.
