This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged
into any 120-volt AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current).
Do not use any other type of outlet.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from
outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or
abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the
appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced.
Please return it to our Service Department or to an
authorized service representative.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this
could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the
appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS
ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY
OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT: Before using, operate the toaster without bread in
order to burn off residues on the heating elements. When doing
this, we suggest that you set the browning selectors at a medium
setting.
HOW TO USE THIS TOASTER
The toaster lever, shade selector, bagel switch and toasting wells
on the right side of the toaster work independently from the toaster
lever, shade selector, bagel switch and toasting wells on the left
side. However, both sides may be used simultaneously to toast or
heat a variety of foods. For example, the 2 wells on the left side of
the toaster may be used for toasting bread or bagels to the desired
shade, while in the right 2 wells pastries may be heating
simultaneously. It’s like having two toasters in one!
Adjust the shade selector(s) to the desired setting. Exact settings
are difficult to recommend due to personal preference; experiment
to suit individual taste. Thick foods and those containing fillings will
require a longer toasting time. Slide selector(s) toward maximum
setting to increase toasting time. Some frozen pastries and toaster
foods may require two heating cycles for proper results.
Remove all protective wrappings from food before placing in
toasting wells. (Avoid toasting torn slices of bread and broken
pastries, which may get lodged in toasting wells.) Place bread or
toaster food into toasting wells and depress the handle(s).
ADJUSTABLE BREAD GUIDES: The adjustable bread guides
automatically center all thicknesses of breads, bagels and pastries.
Cool-wall exterior construction will keep toaster cool to the touch
while it is operating.
When toast or toaster food is ready, it will pop up automatically,
and the toaster will switch off.
TO USE BAGEL SWITCHES: There are two bagel switches, each
operating completely independently of the other. Moving a bagel
switch to the right shuts off the outer heating elements in the
toasting wells controlled by that switch, so bagels will toast only on
the inside, while the crust remains firm and chewy. Slice bagel in
half and place each half in toasting well, making sure the insides
are facing each other. Bread guides will automatically adjust to
accommodate width of bagel. Slide shade selector to choose
desired toasting level. Depress toaster lever.
NOTE: After bagels have finished toasting, be sure to return bagel
switch to the bread/pastries position by shifting it to the left.
NOTE: Do not make adjustments to the shade selector(s) while the
toaster is in use. To interrupt the cycle, gently lift the lever(s).
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user
serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer it to
qualified personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN: Unplug toaster and allow it to cool fully.
NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE TOASTER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID. NEVER USE A METAL IMPLEMENT TO DISLODGE
CRUMBS.
CRUMB TRAY: Remove the crumb tray to clean. To remove the
crumb tray, grasp the end and slide out. Brush crumbs from the
tray and, if necessary, wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Always dry
tray thoroughly before closing it. Slide crumb tray in to replace.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT COUNTERTOP FROM BEING
DAMAGED, THE TOASTER MUST BE OPERATED WITH THE
CRUMB TRAY IN PLACE, SECURELY CLOSED AND CLEANED OF
EXCESS FOOD. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE TOASTER WHEN NOT
USING.
EXTERIOR: Wipe surface with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use
abrasive cleaners, as they may scratch the surface.
TO STORE: Unplug the toaster and store in its box or in a clean,
dry place. Do not put stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as
it could cause the cord to fray and break.

SUGERENCIAS PARA SEGURIDAD CON EL CORDON

5. Nunca enrolle el cordón ajustadamente alrededor del
artefacto, ya que esto podría causar una presión excesiva
en el cordón donde éste entra al artefacto y causar
desgaste y rotura.
NO HAGA FUNCIONAR EL ARTEFACTO SI EL CORDON
MUESTRA CUALQUIER DAÑO, O SI EL ARTEFACTO
FUNCIONA INTERMITENTEMENTE O DEJA DE FUNCIONAR
COMPLETAMENTE.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de usarla, haga funcionar la tostadora sin
pan para así quemar todos los residuos de los elementos de
calentamiento. Cuando haga esto, sugerimos que deslice el
selector para el nivel de tostadura en la posición mediana.
COMO USAR ESTA TOSTADORA
La palanca de la tostadora, el selector para el nivel del dorado,
el interruptor para bagel y los canales de la tostadora en el lado
derecho trabajan independientemente de la palanca de la
tostadora, el selector para el nivel del dorado, el interruptor para
bagel y los canales de la tostadora en el lado izquierdo. Sin
embargo, ambos lados pueden ser usados simultáneamente para
tostar o calentar una variedad de alimentos. Por ejemplo, los dos
canales del lado izquierdo de la tostadora pueden ser usados para
tostar pan o bagel al nivel de tostadura deseada, mientras los dos

Para operar ajuste el selector para el nivel de tostadura a la
posición deseada. Una posición exacta es difícil de recomendar
debido a la preferencia personal; experimente con su gusto
individual. Porciones abundantes o aquellas que contengan relleno
requerirán un tiempo más largo para tostarse. Seleccione una
posición mediana o alta para aumentar tiempo. Algunos pasteles
congelados y alimentos para tostar pueden requerir dos ciclos de
calentamiento para un resultado adecuado.
Remueva todas las envolturas protectoras de la comida antes de
colocarlas en las ranuras de la tostadora. (Evite tostar un pedazo
de una rebanada de pan o pedazos de pasteles, lo cual puede
quedarse en el interior de las ranuras de la tostadora.)
Coloque pan u otro alimento para tostar dentro de la tostadora y
baje la palanca.
GUIAS AJUSTABLES PARA EL PAN: Las guías ajustables para el
pan automáticamente centran el pan u otro alimento para un
tostado parejo.
Las paredes externas no se calientan para prevenir quemaduras
en caso de tocarlas accidentalmente mientras está en
funcionamiento.
Cuando la tostada esté lista, saltará automáticamente y la
tostadora se apagará.
COMO USAR LOS INTERRUPTORES PARA BAGEL: Hay dos
interruptores para bagel, cada uno funcionando completamente
independiente del otro. Moviendo el interruptor para bagel hacia la
derecha apaga los elementos de calentamiento de afuera para
que el bagel se tueste por la parte de adentro, mientras que la
corteza se mantiene firme y suave. Corte el bagel en mitad y
coloque cada mitad dentro del canal, asegurándose que las
partes de adentro estén de cara una de la otra. Las guías para el
pan automáticamente se ajustarán al ancho del bagel. Deslice el
selector para el dorado y escoja el nivel de tostado deseado.
Oprima la palanca de la tostadora.
NOTA: Después que el bagel se haya terminado de tostar,
asegúrese de regresar el interruptor para bagel a la posición
pan/pasteles moviéndolo hacia la izquierda.
NOTA: No haga ajustes al selector para el nivel de tostadura
mientras la tostadora esté funcionando. Para interrumpir el ciclo,
levante suavemente la(s) palanca(s).
INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO
PARA EL USUARIO
Este artefacto está permanente lubricado y no requiere lubricación
adicional durante la vida de la unidad. No contiene piezas que
puedan ser reparadas por el usuario. Para servicio remítalo a
personas calificadas.
PARA LIMPIAR: Siempre desenchufe la tostadora y déjela que se
enfríe completamente.
NOTA: NUNCA SUMERJA LA TOSTADORA EN EL AGUA O
CUALQUIER OTRO LÍQUIDO. NUNCA USE UN IMPLEMENTO
DE METAL PARA SACAR LAS MIGAJAS.
BANDEJA PARA LAS MIGAJAS: Abra la bandeja para las migajas
agarrando el botón en la base y deslizando la bandeja hacia el
cordón mientras la va levantando. Limpie las migajas de la
bandeja, y si es necesario, límpiela con un paño limpio y húmedo.
Seque siempre la bandeja completamente antes de cerrarla.
Cuando cierre la bandeja, asegúrese que el pestillo concuerde con
la rendija.
PRECAUCION: PARA PREVENIR QUE EL MOSTRADOR SE
DAÑE, LA TOSTADORA DEBE SER OPERADO CON LA BANDEJA
PARA MIGAJAS EN SU LUGAR, CERRADA Y LIMPIA DE EXCESO
DE COMIDA. SIEMPRE DESENCHUFE LA TOSTADORA CUANDO
NO SE ESTE USANDO.
EL EXTERIOR: Limpie la superficie con un paño limpio y húmedo.
No use limpiadores abrasivos, ya que estos arañan la superficie.
PARA GUARDAR: Desenchufe la tostadora y guárdela en su caja
o en un lugar limpio y seco. No ponga presión al cordón donde
éste entra a la unidad, ya que esto podría causar el desgaste del
cordón y su posible rotura.
