Disconnect power to the electrical box and remove

the old fixture. If more than two wire leads are

present, keep track of which wires were connected

together.

WARNING

: Shut off power at the circuit

breaker or fuse panel before removing the old

fixture (

Fig. 1

Installation

6

Locate the keyhole slots on the pan. The inner two are

set at a distance that will accommodate a standard

electrical box mount. Position the fixture pan (fixture

posts facing toward the floor) over the electrical box so

that both machine screws protruding from the electrical

box pass through the larger round end of both keyholes

in the fixture pan (

Fig. 10

). Once both screw heads have

passed through the keyholes, twist the pan, until both

screws are situated at the end of the narrow keyhole

slots (

Fig. 11

). Hold in place and tighten the screws down

tightly, without distorting or damaging the fixture pan.

To attach the diffuser, pull both of the locking catches on

the fixture pan into the open position. Place the lip of the

diffuser up and inside the mounted fixture pan and hold

into place (

Fig. 12

).

Push the diffuser locking catches in toward the fixture

pan to lock the diffuser in place (

Fig. 13

). If one or more

of the locking catches does not properly lock, make sure

that the diffuser is fully seated in the pan. Once

completed, restore power to the electrical box.

must be spliced to the green or bare copper ground wire

in the electrical box using one of the wire nuts

(

Fig. 7

). If house wiring does not include a ground

wire, consult local electrical code for approved

grounding methods.

The fixture does not use a mounting bracket to secure it to the

electrical box (

Fig. 3

). Use either the existing electrical box

screws or the ones included in the hardware kit. Drive the

screws into the electrical box until there is about 3/8 in.

between the ceiling and the underside of the

screw head (

Fig. 4

).

Fig. 4

3

Pull the fixture wires through the hole in the center of

the fixture pan to the backside of the fixture. Using

the support chain, connect one end to the back

of the fixture pan near the center in the specially

designed slots (

Fig. 5

) Hook the other end of the

support chain to the electrical box (

Fig. 6

). This

will allow for a hands free support for wiring.
