WARM TEK HEATED GLOVES
IMPORTANT:
Gen X-4 Warm Tek Heated Gloves are designed to keep you warm when plugged into a 12-volt
DC power source like what is typically found on most motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATV's, etc. Simply
connect and feel instant warmth.
HOOK UP OPTIONS
OPTION1:
If you have a Gen X-4 Heated Jacket liner, no additional hook up's are required. Plug in your heated gloves into the
convenient hideaway plugs at the sleeves of Gen X- 4 heated jacket.
OPTION 2:
If you own a Gen X-4 Vest you will require additional hook up (Part # 100226-1/ Snap On/Off Glove Harness). Which can be
easily connected to the snaps provided at the back of the vest.
OPTION 3:
If you have neither of the Gen X- 4 line of heated clothing you will require additional hook up's {Part # 100228-1/Y Glove
Harness (with switch) or 100273-1 /Y Glove Harness (with single controller) and 100227-1/Battery Cord}.
CAUTION
Ensure that the wires do not get stretched or strained. Installation should be such that the wires do not get crushed when the seat is
closed. Make sure it is not in contact with any moving part. Make sure the connectors do not scratch your gas tank or any other part of the
vehicle. Do not route your battery cord next to power leads to avoid any sort of interference with your radio or intercoms.
IMPORTANT
If installing two battery cords, connect them in parallel. So both wires with the fuse are connected to +ve side of the battery and other two
are connected to –ve side of the battery.
CAUTION
Do not switch on the heated clothing if your vehicle engine is turned off. This may result in drainage of battery.
Do not leave any adapter cord plugged into the system when not in use.
Do not leave heated clothing plugged in and/or left on while not wearing them, fire may result.
Always disconnect the battery cord when leaving the vehicle and cover the COAX connector with the safety cap provided (to avoid
scratching, damaging the connections or body of the vehicle).
Do not use the Gen X-4 heated clothing on an infant.
Do not forget to disconnect your heated clothing, when leaving your vehicle.
Use a fuse rated for heated clothing combination selected.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Heated clothing is an electric device. Care should be taken in the storage and transportation of the heated clothing when not being worn.
With good care the heated clothing can last you many years. Never clip or sew any logo on the heated clothing as you run into the risk of
damaging a wire.
ATTENTION: READ BEFORE USING GLOVES
When removing gloves pull each finger individually, while being careful to hold outer glove and lining. Your weatherproof liner cannot be
sewn to outer glove as stitching holes will leak. If you remove your hand quickly, the liner may become inverted and will be difficult to
reposition.
Your gloves have a water proof liner, but your outer glove (textile or leather) will need to be treated with a waterproofing agent prior to
using in wet conditions. Failure to apply agent will result in a very wet and heavy glove that will take considerable time to dry.
PROBLEM SOLVING
If your heated apparel is not heating:
1. Check the fuse in the battery cord and replace if required
2. Check for loose connections (Battery cord terminals and all connectors)
3. If the heated clothing does not heat even after you changed the fuse, contact your local dealer with original receipt.
4. DO NOT attempt repair of the heated clothing on your own.
5. Modifying or tampering with their heating element can result in damage when used and will void the warranty.
