2 – 6” Strips of 2 Side Tape – already attached to the deflector

INSTALLATION

1.   Be sure that hood is clean and dry inside and out.
2.   Install the rubber bumpons on the hood. Place the large bumpons 2” in from sides of hood and 2" back from leading edge. Place the small

bumpons centered on the lower projections of the hood.

Attention: The bumpons must be installed on the hood not on the

deflector!!!!

If the bumpons are installed on the deflector they will wear through the paint.

See Figure #2.

3.   Center the deflector on the hood to determine where the deflector will mount. The center hole in the deflector aligns with an existing hole

in the hood. Before removing the protective backing from the two-sided tape on the deflector, use tape or a grease pencil to make
reference points to aid with the installation of the deflector in following steps.

4.   Use the alcohol-wiping pad (supplied in installation kit) to clean the area where the two-sided tape (already installed on deflector) contacts

the underside of the hood.

5.   Remove the protective backing from the two-sided tape and install the deflector using the alignment marks made in step three. Be sure

the deflector and the tape are fully seated against the hood.

6.   Install the rubber wellnut through the deflector into existing hole in the hood. Be sure the wellnut is fully seated.
7.   Place the flat washer on the bolt and tighten into the wellnut using a ½” wrench or socket.

Do not over tighten

See Figure #1.

8.   Install the anti-abrasion film pad directly under where the ‘E’ clips (already attached to the deflector) will fit on hood. Be sure to wrap the

pads over the leading edge of the hood to cover at least ½ " of the bottom of the hood.

9.   Install the ‘E’ clips by gently pulling the deflector wings towards the leading edge of the hood until they slide over and clip onto the hood. It

may be necessary to tap on the clips to fully seat them against the hood.

10.  On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust hood bumpers and/or latch for proper clearance.

Note: Do not pull on the deflector when opening or closing the hood.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Clean the deflector with a mild soap and water solution or plastic cleaner only. Do not use chemicals or solvents.

Periodically check to make sure the bumpons are in place and the deflector is secure.

Avoid using automatic car washes.

Do not pull

on the deflector when opening or closing the hood.
