REMOTE HANDSET CODING INSTRUCTIONS: MERLIN
BLUE BUTTON (DIP SWITCH)
GREEN BUTTON & GREEN BUTTON MINI (433MHz)

BLUE BUTTON HANDSET (DIP SWITCH -40.685MHz): TO CODE YOUR NEW REMOTE
USING THE MOTOR PANEL:
1. Ensure your new battery is installed correctly in the new remote.
2. Remove the light cover from the CONTROL BOX (MOTOR) to access the control panel.
3. Remove the small rectang
ular plastic cover on the control panel to access the 12 small ‘dip switches’.(refer
diagram 1 overleaf)
4. Set the position of the 12 dip switches on your new remote control to identically match the position of those on the
motor. (e.g. if number one switch on your motor is in the up position, put the number one switch on the remote in
the up position) (refer diagram 2 overleaf)
5. If for any reason you want to change or re-set the dip switches to a different combination on the motor, you will
also need to change all of the remote controls to match the motor.
GREEN BUTTON HANDSET &, GREEN BUTTON MINI HANDSET (433MHz): TO CODE YOUR NEW REMOTE USING
THE MOTOR PANEL:
1. Remove the light cover from the CONTROL BOX (MOTOR). Remove the control panel cover to identify the set
up controls. Identify the ‘LEARN’ button and the ‘SETUP’ button.
2. Press the LEARN button for 1-2 seconds, until the courtesy lamp begins to flash slowly.
3. Press the desired remote button for control of the opener, wait 1 second, pres the desired remote button again.
The courtesy lamp will stop flashing once learning is complete.
To delete all remote controls from
the openers memory: press and hold the ‘SETUP’ button on the control panel for 11
seconds until the courtesy lamp stops flashing. After 6 seconds the lamp with flash fast as a warning, if you release
the setup button during this warning period then the memory will not be wiped.
