IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE. SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL !

§1:

SOUND

PRESSURE:

How loud should

I play ?

You can turn-up volume until

AUDIBLE DISTORTION

 just occurs - and then

 turn down a little

Turning BASS fully up, point of distortion will be reached remarkably faster than if the BASS
have been in middle position - or a little lower.

Damages on loudspeaker and/or amplifier caused by audible distortion will NOT be cov-
ered by any warranty !

This kind of damages are easily recognized.

DAN-SOUND cannot be held responsible for any hearing damages caused by high S.P.L. or oth-
er kind of misuse. Please check your local rules and regulations.

Potmeter/Plug

FUNCTION

CD / CASSETTE

This  potmeter adjust sound level for CD/MP3/USB/SD and CONNECTED cassette accessory. Turning it,
CD Display shows dB-values from 0 to 30dB. The potmeter have no start/stop point.

The displayed dB-

value have no relevance for the actual sound level !!
The actual sound level might exceed the recommended maximum sound pressure level.
Please be aware of this.

MP3-MIC-AUX

This potmeter adjust sound level of program generated by CONNECTED devices.
These devices should be connected to  AVX15’s corresponding JACK-CONNECTORS.
MIC and AUX is 6,3mm Mono Jack connectors - MP3/I-POD is standard 3,5mm stereo jack connector
(playback in mono !)
If not in use, this potmeter should be put to ZERO position, to avoid collecting noise.

BASS

This potmeter adjusts the BASS level - more / less bass.
More BASS will drain the amplifier power much faster than a middle/lower position.

Advice:

Do not use additional BASS if not necessary. Place AVX15 in a corner, and additional bass occurs

naturally - without further draining of amplifier !

TREBLE

This potmeter adjusts the TREBLE level - more / less treble.
Please use middle position, and do only make adjustments if necessary. (Minor draining only)

LINE OUT

From these RCA-plugs (Phono) you can have a UNREGULATED LINE SIGNAL from all the CD functions -
as well as connected devices - or the cassette accessory, which is not included.

MIC

Connect your microphone here. Please consider that a cheap PLASTIC microphone often generates PLAS-
TIC sound !! Please choose a better type of microphone. AVX15 deserves it !!

NOTE:

Only a MICROPHONE should be connected to this input. Connecting other devices with high signal

output might damage the preamplifier. Some WIRELESS microphone receivers with low signal output (app.
2mV) should be connected here, but please try “AUX” first !

AUX

Connect all other external devices with UNREGULATED LINE SIGNAL here (100-300 mV)

NOTE

: Connecting a

LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUT SIGNAL

might cause damage.

Some Wireless microphone receivers with high output (100-300mV) must be connected to AUX.

PHONES

This 3,5 mm Headphone output is considered as “Master”, and BREAKS the built-in loudspeaker when con-
nected. The output is relay controlled, and some delay in signal on/off might occur.

MP3
I-POD

Universal input for small devices as Android Phones, MP3 players and products in the Apple family. When
connecting by Jack/Jack cable, adjust your portable device to MEDIUM volume. Then adjust the MP3 vol-
ume control to desired level. If too much/little volume, you can gradually adjust the volume control on your
portable device. (Different from device to device).

ON / OFF Switch

Main ON/OFF switch !!  (Breaks on AC-side !)

CASSETTE
ACCESSORY
