The factory default IP address of the unit is 0.0.0.0, which enables DHCP.

An IP address can be applied to the unit by:

1.  DHCP server automatic IP allocation.
2.  Web browser via the administration configuration page.

Note:

In typical installations, a static IP address is recommended. Your network administrator

generally provides the IP address. Obtain the following information before starting to set up
the unit: Please prevent using a duplicate IP address or a broadcast IP address.

Serial No:

    ____ ____ ____ ____ ____  ___

(Rear label on SafetyNet)

IP Address:

 _______ _______ _______ _______

Subnet Mask:    _______ _______ _______ _______
Gateway:

 _______ _______ _______ _______

1. IP address allocation using DHCP

If your server is DHCP enabled, SafetyNet will be allocated with an automatic IP address,
gateway address and a subnet mask when powered on.

Consult the network administrator for further details in finding the DHCP allocated IP address
using the DHCP server. You may also use the tool “SafetyNetFinder.exe”

application

provided by Computer Support Systems to find out the current IP address of the unit.
