convenience and functionality of

recording and sharing your videos

with DVD technology. With all three

camcorders, you get Canon’s
expertise and optical brilliance —

along with an impressive array of

features found on more expensive

models. You’ll enjoy capturing the

precious moments of your life and

sharing them with everyone.

RECORD DIRECT TO DVD

The DC210, DC220 and DC230 DVD camcorders deliver all the
convenience and functionality of DVD technology by letting you
record directly to DVDs. With DVDs, you can easily locate scenes
without having to rewind or fast-forward. You can create playlists of
your favorite scenes, and even do some quick editing right in your
camcorder. The DC210, DC220 and DC230 all record to 3" DVD-R/-RW
discs that can store up to 60 minutes of video and are compatible
with most DVD players. They also record to DVD-R DL (dual layer) discs
that can store up to 108 minutes of video.

CANON OPTICAL PERFORMANCE

The name Canon is synonymous with optical
excellence the world over. That’s why the
DC210, DC220 and DC230 give you clear,

vibrant and brilliant video and digital photographs. The brilliance
begins with Canon’s longest optical zoom ever — the Genuine Canon
Optics 35x Optical Zoom lens. Combined with electronic image
stabilization, the lens gives you sharp, crisp video, even when you’re
shooting at a long focal length, or panning and zooming. Plus, with
the 1000x Digital Zoom, you can capture every shot — whether it’s a
wide shot of the whole family at Thanksgiving, or a
close up of your child on stage.

MEGAPIXEL PERFORMANCE

With the DC230 you get a 1.07 megapixel CCD image Sensor which
allows for sharper video and photos.

CONVENIENCE IN A COMPACT SIZE

Canon packs all the convenience of recording on
DVDs into slim, lightweight, gracefully
designed camcorders.

BRILLIANT VIDEO

The DC210, DC220 and DC230 feature Canon’s exclusive DIGIC DV II
image processor for video with exceptional color and clarity. DIGIC
DV II, the next generation of Canon’s exclusive DIGIC DV signal
processing technology ensures optimal image quality. You will see
improved color reproduction, especially in skin tones and dark and
light scenes. Your images will also be crystal clear thanks to a
hybrid noise reduction system. There are more features normally
found on much more expensive camcorders that help you capture
brilliant images. Level, well-composed shots are simple with the
Level and Grid Marker features. Line up the horizon or other
horizontal lines with the Level Marker in the viewfinder for level
landscapes. Or, use the Grid Marker to help compose the perfect
shot. Both markers can be set to white or grey for enhanced
visibility, no matter what the background. Plus, Smooth Zoom
Control gives you 3 fixed-zoom speeds to ensure smooth, steady
zooms automatically.

WIDESCREEN HR RECORDING

The DC210, DC220 and DC230 record true High Resolution
Widescreen video that looks brilliant on your widescreen TV. That’s
because Canon’s Widescreen HR Mode uses the entire width of the
image sensor, capturing true 16:9 widescreen. That means more

pixels — which translates to amazing image quality.

The Widescreen Button lets you switch from

standard 4:3 to 16:9 at a single touch.

Plus, a big 2.7" widescreen LCD and

0.27" widescreen viewfinder let you

see exactly what your camcorder is

recording. And even if you don’t

have a widescreen TV, you can still

watch your HR Widescreen video

on your standard television, in

letterbox format.
