  BURN HAZARD

RISK OF BURN OR SERIOUS INJURY.

HOT SURFACES (GREATER THAN 150°F / 65°C).

DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED.

Lights may become extremely hot (more than 150°F / 65°C) when left on for more

than five minutes and may become too hot to touch safely. While on do not leave

unattended. Do not set the light face (lens) down when turned on. Do not handle the

light until it has cooled.
This light is extremely bright. Do not look directly into the light or shine it in

someone’s eyes.
Do not hold the lens or bezel against any portion of the human body. Do not place

headlamp against combustible material or any material that can be damaged by heat.

Always use with adequate ventilation.

  BATTERY BURN HAZARD

RISK OF BURN OR SERIOUS INJURY.

Never open a battery, place it in a fire, expose it to heat above 212°F (100°C),

expose its contents to water, put it in backwards, or mix it with other battery types.

Any of these actions can result in an explosion and/or leaking, causing personal

injury or property damage. Dispose of all batteries properly in accordance with

environmental regulations.

  CHOKING HAZARD

SMALL PARTS. NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS.

Browning lights are not toys. They are high performance lighting tools that contain

batteries and small parts. Use only under adult supervision. Failure to follow this

warning could result in serious injury to the child.
Keep all batteries out of reach of infants and children. Do not allow infants and children

to play with batteries. Do not place batteries in the nose, ears or mouth. If swallowed

they may become a choking hazard and/or may cause electrical and/or chemical burns

in the mouth or in the digestive tract.
If any battery is swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Immediately contact your

physician, the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222, your local health care

center or emergency care center, or the National Button Battery Ingestion Hotline

at 1-202-625-3333.

OPERATION

The Range headlamp is powered by one non-rechargeable AA battery (included). Do

not use other types of batteries. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
To insert or remove batteries, open the battery compartment by pulling upward on the

flat tab on the top of the headlamp that is located near the rear edge.
When installing a battery, place the battery as shown on the diagram inside

the compartment.
Close the battery compartment. You should feel and hear the flat tab click into place

when it is fully closed.
To turn the headlamp on, push down with your fingertip on the main switch located on

top of the light where the Browning logo is located.
There are two different operating mode/settings with this headlamp:
1.  High/Wide Angle
2.  Low/Wide Angle
To cycle through the operating modes/settings, press the main switch repeatedly until

you reach the desired setting.
This headlamp has a Quick Off feature. When the light has been on any setting for more

than three seconds, the light will turn off the next time the main switch is pushed.
This headlamp has an Electronic Battery Lock-Out mode. By using the main switch,

the battery can be locked out so the light will not turn on accidentally.
When the light is off, hold the main switch down for three seconds to activate the

Battery Lock-Out mode. When the Battery Lock-Out mode is activated the light will blink

three times. If you now press and release the main switch the light will not turn on. The

light will blink once to indicate that the battery still has a usable charge and that it is in

Battery Lock-Out mode.

To disengage the Battery Lock-Out mode, hold the main switch

down for three seconds. The light will then blink three times to

indicate it is no longer in Battery Lock-Out mode.
This headlamp has a low battery indicator. When the battery

reaches 20% capacity remaining or less, the light will flash five

times and return to the setting it was on. When this happens, it is

time to replace the battery.

MULTI-DIRECTION CLIP

This headlamp is shipped with the head strap

attached. To attach the clip, first remove the

head strap by pulling it through the two slots on

either end of the head plate (Figure 1).
There are four options for positioning the clip,

depending on how the headlamp is to be used

(Figure 2). To attach the clip, line up the two

center tabs on the clip with the square hole in

the head plate and click it into place (Figure 3).
To remove the clip, push the tabs toward the

center of the square opening in the head plate.
Attach the head strap to the head plate by sliding

the head strap through the slots on either end of

the head plate.
