Systemübersicht / System overview
Balluff gewährleistet einen zuverlässigen Betrieb des BIC mit Balluff
IO-Link Komponenten, wobei nur IO-Link Master von Balluff zulässig
sind.
Balluff gurantee that the BIC will operate reliably if fitted with IO-Link
components from Balluff and only with IO-Link Masters from Balluff.
Bei Einsatz eines Profibus-IO-Link-Master Moduls der Balluff GmbH
sind ausschließlich Module ab folgendem Hardware Stand
zu verwenden.
If the BIC is connected to a Profibus-IO-Link-Master Module from
Balluff, only modules from the following hardware version
are allowed.

Das BIC System überträgt das IO-Link Protokoll zwischen der Base-
und Remote-Einheit und überträgt sämtliche IO-Link Eingangs- und
Ausgangsdaten, unabhängig von der Prozessdatenlänge. Das IO-Link
Protokoll wird uneingeschränkt übertragen, so dass keine Parameter-
einstellungen für das BIC-System erforderlich sind. Nur das an das BIC-
System angeschlossene Device muß in der Steuerung eingebunden
werden.
Es wird für das BIC Q40 bidirektional somit keine IODD benötigt.
The BIC system transmits the IO-Link protocol across the air gap to the
base and remote units and transmits all IO-Link input and output data,
regardless of the length of the process data. The IO-Link protocol is
transmitted without any restrictions so the BIC system parameters do
not need adjusting. The device connected to the BIC system has to be
integrated in the control.
An IODD is therefore not required for the bidirectional BIC Q40.
Installation
Gegenseitige Beeinflussung / Mutual interference
Um eine gegenseitige Beeinflussung von nebeneinander liegenden
Base und Remote zu vermeiden, müssen die angegebenen Mindest-
abstände eingehalten werden.
To prevent mutual interference with adjacent bases or remotes, the
specified minimum distances must be adhered to:

Beschädigung des Gerätes durch Induktionseffekte!
Metallische Objekte auf der Spulenkappe führen zur Erhitzung der Ob-
jekte. Die Komponenten so einbauen, dass sich keine metallischen Ob-
jekte auf der Spulenkappe ansammeln können.

Metallic objects on the coil cap cause the objects to be heated.
Install the components so that no metallic objects can collect on the coil
cap.

180° Drehung des Steckereinsatzes/ 180° rotation of the connector
Der Steckereinsatz an Base und Remote kann um 180° gedreht wer-
den. Hierfür sind die im Nachfolgenden beschriebenen Demontage-
schritte zu befolgen. Der nach dem Drehen des Steckereinsatzes fol-
gende Wiederzusammenbau erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
The connector of base and remote can be rotated by 180°. For this, the
hereinafter described disassembly steps are followed. The following af-
ter rotating the plug insert re-assembly in reverse order.
1. Lösen der Madenschraube /
Loosen the grub screw
2. Abziehen der BIC-Halterung /
Pull off the BIC holder
3. Lösen der beiden Senkkopfschrauben /
Loosen the two countersunk screws
4. Abziehen des BIC-Sockels /
Remove the BIC base
