Gebrauchsanweisung für 8 Tage Pendeluhr
Diese Uhr ist nach traditioneller Uhrmacherkunst gefertigt. Das 8-Tage-Gewichtszug-Pendelwerk
schlägt zu jeder vollen Stunde jeweils ein Schlag auf Glocke.
Aufhängen der Uhr
Die Uhr vorsichtig aus der Verpackung nehmen, ca. 1,90 m über dem Boden Nagel, Haken oder
Schraube setzen und die Uhr senkrecht aufhängen. Pendel vom Deckel der Styroporverpackung
lösen und in die Öse der Pendelverlängerung sowie das Gewicht in den Haken der Kette
einhängen.
Starten des Uhrwerkes
Die Pendellinse etwa 10 cm aus dem Lot führen und loslassen. Das Pendel schwingt und es reguliert
sich selbstständig auf die richtige Schwingungsweite ein.
Stellen des Uhrwerkes
Minutenzeiger nur im Uhrzeigersinn drehen bis die Uhrzeit stimmt.
Aufziehen der Uhr
Diese Uhr läuft etwa eine Woche bei Ausnutzung der vollen Kettenlänge. Aufziehen der Uhr erfolgt
indem am freien Kettenende das Aufzugsgewicht bis zum Anschlag gezogen wird. Zur Entlastung des
Uhrwerkes sollte das Gewicht dabei etwas angehoben werden.
Regulieren der Ganggenauigkeit
Über die Pendelmutter unterhalb der Pendellinse wird die Uhr reguliert. Drehen der Pendelmutter und
damit der Pendelscheibe nach oben macht die Uhr schneller, nach unten wird die Uhr langsamer. Eine
Umdrehung entspricht dabei 1 min/Tag.
Operating Instructions for 8 days Pendulum Clock
This clock is made with traditional clock-makers skills. It has an 8 days weight-driven pendulum
movement with a passing strike on the hour.
To hang the Clock
Lift the clock from its packing carefully. Choose a suitable position for the clock (approx. 1,9 m above
the floor). Mark the position of the hangers (nail, hook or screw) on the wall. Bear in mind the weight of
the clock and of the driving-weight when choosing the type of the hanger. Fix the hanger into the wall
at the place marked and hang the clock perpendicularly on the hanging hole at the rear of the clock.
Make sure that the chain wheel catches properly in the driving-chain. Loosen the pendulum from the
polystyrene packing. Engage the pendulum hook into the eye of the pendulum extension and suspend
the driving-weight onto the hook of the driving-chain.
To start the Movement
Hold the pendulum bob approximately 10 cm from the vertical and release. The pendulum swings and
regulates the correct rhythm independently.
To set the Time
Turn the minute hand clockwise only until the time is correct.
To wind up the Clock
This clock runs approximately one week before the whole length of the chain is used. Draw up the free
end of the chain until the driving-weight reaches the top. At the same time, lift the weight a little to
releave tension on the clock and hanger. If necessary swing the pendulum as before.
Regulating the Clock
Your clock can be regulated accurately personally by sliding the pendulum bob up or down the
pendulum rod. Sliding it up makes the clock faster and sliding it down makes the clock slower.
If the clock does not keep proper time, please adjust the pendulum bob by turning the rating nut to the
right (pendulum bob moves up). Turning rating nut to the left (pendulum bob moves down). One turn of
the regulating nut corresponds to a time difference of approx. 1 minute per day.
