ICRM-­‐915-­‐SER   User’s   Guide   

Introduction   

The   ICRM-­‐915-­‐SER   is   a   high   performance   serial   wireless   modem   designed   to   
provide   reliable   long-­‐range   communications   for   SCADA   systems.   It   is   supplied   
in   a   compact   DIN   rail   mountable   enclosure   and   operates   in   the   license-­‐free   
ISM   band   (902-­‐928MHz)   using   frequency   hopping   spread   spectrum.   With   
adjustable   data   rates   of   up   to   200   kbps,   the   modem   supports   a   variety   of   
industrial   protocols   such   as   Modbus   RTU/ASCII   and   Allen-­‐Bradley   DF1   
through   the   RS-­‐232   and   RS-­‐422/485   interfaces.   The   radio   can   be   quickly   
configured   using   a   graphical   wizard   via   the   USB   port.   A   MicroSD   card   slot   is   
available   to   save   or   load   configuration   settings.
