LABEL
DESCRIPTION
Name
Enter a descriptive name for identification purposes for this rule. You can enter up to 32
printable ASCII characters except [ ? ], [ | ], [ ' ], [ " ] or [ , ].
MAC Address
Enter a multicast or unicast MAC address of a cluster.
The last binary bit of the first octet pair in a multicast MAC address must be 1. For example, the
first octet pair 00000001 is 01 and 00000011 is 03 in hexadecimal, so 01:00:5e:00:00:0A and
03:00:5e:00:00:27 are valid multicast MAC addresses.
The last binary bit of the first octet pair in a unicast MAC address must be 0. For example, the
first octet pair 00000000 is 00 and 00000010 is 02 in hexadecimal, so 00:00:5e:00:00:0A and
02:00:5e:00:00:27 are valid unicast MAC addresses.
VID
Enter the VLAN identification number. If you do not have a specific target VLAN, enter 1.
The Switch will forward traffic to ports in this VLAN group.
Port
Enter the ports to which you want the Switch to forward the incoming NLB traffic.
You can enter multiple ports separated by (no space) comma (,) or hyphen (-). For example,
enter “3-5” for ports 3, 4, and 5. Enter “3,5,7” for ports 3, 5, and 7.
In Stacking mode, the first number represents the slot and the second the port number. Enter 1/
1-1/24,2/23 for ports 1 to 24 for the Switch in slot 1 and port 23 for the Switch in slot 2, for
example.
Apply
Click
Apply
to save your changes to the Switch’s run-time memory. The Switch loses these
changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the
Save
link on the top navigation panel to
save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
