The following table describes the related labels you use to create a static route.
Metric
This field displays the cost of transmission for routing purposes.
Select an entry’s check box to select a specific entry. Otherwise, select the check box in the
table heading row to select all entries.
Delete
Click

to remove the selected entry from the summary table.
Cancel

Route
Destination
Enter the IPv6 address of the final destination.
Prefix Length
Enter the prefix length number of up to 64 for this destination.
Next Hop
Enter the IPv6 address of the next-hop router.
Interface Type
Select the type of the IPv6 interface through which the IPv6 packets are forwarded.
The Switch supports only the VLAN interface type at the time of writing.
Interface ID
Enter the ID number of the IPv6 interface through which the IPv6 packets are forwarded.
Add
Click
Add
to insert a new static route to the Switch’s run-time memory. The Switch loses
these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the
Save
link on the top navigation
panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.

Cancel
to begin configuring this screen afresh.
Index
This field displays the index number of the route. Click a number to edit the static route
entry.
