Chapter 5 Access Point Mode

WRE6605 User’s Guide

5.4 Configure the WRE6605 Wireless Settings

The WRE6605 Web Configurator allows you to modify the AP mode wireless settings.

Firmware Version

This is the firmware version and the date created. Use this section to upload new available firmware. Click

UPLOAD

FILE

to browse for the new firmware file. After you have selected it click

so the WRE6605 begins the firmware

upgrade.

When the WRE6605 has Internet access you can click

CHECK ONLINE

to search for new firmware. The

INSTALL F/W

button is available when new firmware is released. Click this button to download the latest firmware version. This
displays

NO F/W UPDATE

if the WRE6605 has no new firmware updates or if the WRE6605 has no Internet access.

AP WiFi

2.4G

WiFi Name (SSID)

This displays the SSID of the WRE6605’s 2.4G wireless network.

Password

This shows the password a client should use to connect in order to connect to the
WRE6605’s 2.4G wireless network.

Security Method

This shows the level of wireless security the WRE6605 is using.

Channel

This shows the channel the WRE6605 is using.

WiFi Name (SSID)

This displays the SSID of the WRE6605’s 5G wireless network.

Password

This shows the password a client should use to connect in order to connect to the
WRE6605’s 5G wireless network.

Security Method

This shows the level of wireless security the WRE6605 is using.

Channel

This shows the channel the WRE6605 is using.

Edit

Click this button to modify the 2.4G or 5G wireless settings.
