SNR
SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) measures the strength of the wireless LAN signal and the
background noise on the line. The greater the number, the better the quality of the wireless
LAN.
The normal range is 15 to 40. If the value drops below 15, try moving the associated wireless
station closer to the VMG to get better quality of the wireless LAN.
Level
This field displays a number which represent the strength of the wireless LAN signal between
an associated wireless station and an AP. The VMG uses the RSSI and SNR values to
determine the strength of the wireless LAN signal.
5
means the VMG is receiving an excellent wireless LAN signal.
4
means the VMG is receiving a very good wireless LAN signal.
3
means the VMG is receiving a weak wireless LAN signal.
2
means the VMG is receiving a very weak wireless LAN signal.
1
means the VMG is not receiving a wireless LAN signal.
