Chapter 33 Command Examples
3
Use the
rmt-fw-upgrade port-channel <port-list>
command to transfer the
CPE firmware from the switch to the CPE device connected to the specified port (for
example, VDSL port 1).
4
After the remote CPE firmware upgrade is successful, the switch automatically deletes
the CPEImg file. The CPE device will automatically restart.
5
If you connect different CPE device models to the switch, you must repeat steps 1 to 4 to
upgrade firmware for each CPE model. The switch automatically detects and upgrades
firmware to the appropriate CPE model.
If you uploaded the CPE device onto the switch and have decided not to perform remote CPE
firmware upgrade, you can use the
rmt-fw-upgrade release
command to delete the CPE
firmware file from the switch. Keeping the CPE firmware on the switch takes up space in
system memory and may affect network performance.
