Port Authentication: 802.1x
LABEL
DESCRIPTION
Active
Select this check box to permit 802.1x authentication on the OMC.
Note: You must first enable 802.1x authentication on the OMC
before configuring it on each port.
Port
This field displays a port number.
Active
Select this check box to permit 802.1x authentication on this port. You must first
allow 802.1x authentication on the OMC before configuring it on each port.
Quiet period
This is the idle time between failed authentication attempts. During this period, the
OLT will not accept or start authentication requests.
Transmission
period
This is the time the OMC waits for the response from a client before sending the
request to the authentication server.
Supplicant
timeout
This is the time the OMC waits for a response from the client. If the client does not
respond within the time period, authentication fails. The OMC waits for the time
specified in the
Quiet Period
field before starting the authentication process again.
Server timeout
This is the time the OMC waits for a reply from the authentication server before re-
sending the client request again.
Max Reauth No
Specify the maximum number of times the OMC is to prompt for the subscriber
username and password to stay connected to the network. Enter a number between
1 and 10.
Max Request No Specify how many time the OMC sends an EAP-Request frame to the subscriber
device before restarting the authentication process. Enter a number between 1 and
10.

to save your changes back to the OMC.

Click
Cancel
to begin configuring this screen afresh.
