9.2 Power Maintenance
This section describes how to change the power modules. The power modules have a built-in
circuit breaker. Before you replace a power module, make sure the circuit breaker is not
causing the problem.
9.2.1 Disconnecting the Power
The power modules are redundant, so if one power module fails the system can operate on the
remaining power module. The power modules can be disconnected from the power supply
individually.

Make sure that the power module you want to disconnect has the power switch in the
OFF
position.

Flip the power cord retainer up.

Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet.

Disconnect the power cord from the power module.

MP-7203 DC-DC Power Module

Slide the power switch socket cover down to put the power switch in the
OFF
position.

Use a screwdriver to loosen the thumbscrew on the front panel of the power module.

Grab the handle, and slide the module out of the slot slightly till the screws on the side of
the terminal blocks are exposed.

Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the side of the terminal block.
5
Remove the power wires which are connected to the RTN and -48V terminals.
