6.2 System Maintenance
Do
not
turn off the IES-1000 during the updating process, as it may corrupt the firmware and
make your IES-1000 unusable.
6.2.1
Procedure to Update Firmware
The AAM1008 uses FTP for firmware updates through its built-in FTP server. To update firmware, first download
it from the ZyXEL web site, then unzip and store it on your computer. You can use this EMS FTP client to
connect to the AAM1008.

System, System Maintenance
to display the
System Maintenance
screen as shown next.

The IES-1000 automatically restarts when the firmware file upload is complete.
6.2.2
Procedure to Backup a Configuration File
The AAM1008 uses FTP for configuration backup. When you backup your configuration file, you transfer the file
from the AAM1008 to your computer.

Upgrade

location of your
