Introducing the Prestige Web Configurator

This chapter shows you how to configure your firewall with the Web Configurator.

15.1  Web Configurator Login and Welcome Screens

Launch your web browser and enter 192.168.1.1 as the URL. This is the factory default IP of the Prestige
when shipped. You will then see the Login screen.

The default Username and Password is "admin" and "1234" respectively.

The Password is configurable, but the Username is not.

3.

 

The Password is case sensitive.

4.

 

The PWC times out after 5 minutes of inactivity. This is not configurable.

Please make sure that your web browser is Java and JavaScript enabled.

You can ONLY configure the firewall via Prestige Web Configurator or CLI command. You will not be able
to access the Prestige Web Configurator from the WAN if:
1.

 

The firewall is activated, as the firewall by default, blocks all WAN to LAN traffic. To access the
Prestige Web Configurator from the WAN when the firewall is activated, you will need to create a
firewall rule (see the examples chapter ahead) to allow web traffic initiated from the WAN.

2.

 

You have applied a filter in Menu 3.1 (LAN) or in Menu 11.5 (WAN) to block Web service.

3.

 

You have an SMT console session running.

After a successful login, you will see the Welcome screen shown next.
