Environmental conditions: the temperature must be between 0ºC- 40ºC and the
relative humidity at maximum of 85%.

The microscope has been adjusted and inspected strictly before leaving factory;
handle it carefully avoiding hits and knocks.

If there is dust in the lenses blow it with a rubber blower and then clean softly the
lens with a soft brush; clean carefully the rest of oil or finger print from the Surface of
the lens with a soft cloth moistened with a few organic solvent (mixture of ether and
alcohol 7:3).

Do not wipe the lens surface very regularly, or else the lens will be scraped, reducing
the quality of the transmission and imaging. Please keep the rest of the instrument
clean.
f.
Keep the mechanical parts clean and dry.
g.
Unplug the power cable and disconnect the microscope from the power supply in
case of not being used for a long time; adjust the light intensity to the minimum and
cover the microscope with the dust cover.
h.
To replace the fuse, open the fuse holder with a flat screwdriver. Remove the fuse
and replace it.
6. Causes of a defective image
In case of a defective image you should check the following:

Illumination is well done and luminous intensity is neither excessive nor too weak.

Eyepieces are well fit and objectives well screwed.

When cleaning the entire optical system you should proceed as follows:
o
Make the eyepieces turn checking the little specks are moving; if so you should clean
them. Make the head turn. You should never disassemble the head, but you can clean
it with delicacy by blowing the accessible surfaces of prisms with a plastic bulb.
o
the objective and, in case the parasite images also turn, clean it with the help of a dry
brush to remove the dust. Watch the front part of the microscope with a magnifying
glass or an inverted eyepiece.

Immersion oil is enough and does not contain air bubbles or impurities.

Thickness of slides, cover glasses and means of assembly is not too much as to avoid
focusing with medium or high magnification (there are standard sizes for both the slides
