8.3.3 Far End Busy
If the person you are calling is busy, the phone either plays the busy tone for your country or the
busy tone that is generated by the phone network at the far end. This depends whether your
server has indication that the called party is busy or not. If your server is aware the called party is
busy, your phone flashes the LED on the call appearance button green for 750 ms and red for
250 ms. The display changes to:
The phone stops the timer as soon as it receives notification that the called party is busy. The
phone maintains this state until you go on hook.
8.3.4 Network Busy
If the network is busy, the phone either plays the fast busy tone (congestion tone) for your
country or the fast busy tone that is generated by the phone network at the far end. This depends
whether your server can detect whether or not the network is busy. If it is aware the network is
busy, your phone flashes the LED on the call appearance button green and red for 250 ms each
color.
The ZIP4x4 displays this message if the number you are calling does not exist or is not available.
The display changes to:
The phone stops the timer as soon as it receives notification that the network is busy.
The phone maintains this state until you go on hook.

8.3.5.1 Expanded Display
When the called party answers, the phone makes the LED for the call appearance to be lit
continuously green and changes the display to:
