Possible Causes
The BPDU packet is received at the edge port on which the BPDU Guard function is
enabled.
Handling Procedure
1.
Check whether the edge port is connected with the user terminal.

If yes, go to step 2.
l
If no, modify the port as a non-edge port.
2.
Find out the source of the BPDU packet and check whether network attack occurs. If
yes, contact the network engineer.

The port is blocked for some time.
Possible Causes
The port configured with LOOP Guard function does not receive the BPDU packet for a
long time.
Handling Procedure
Check whether the port should be configured with LOOP Guard function, whether the link
is congested, whether there are unidirectional link problems, and whether the port receives
and sends BPDU packets properly.

Check whether the port configured with LOOP Guard function is a root port, standby
port, or alternate port.

If yes, go to step 2.
l
If no, cancel the Loop Guard configuration.

Check whether the link is congested or there are unidirectional link problems. If yes,
contact the network engineer.
